While the legislature is bringing in record revenues, they are still not prioritizing education and are even trying to reduce funding for key programs like our Transition to Kindergarten program that is so crucial.

Creydt announced her campaign on Saturday, Jan. 17, for the 42nd Legislative District seat. Running as a Republican, Creydt said in a social media post that her work as a clinical psychologist specializing in youth mental health drove her to run for Senate.

The Northern Light did a good profile on the candidates when Erika ran for Blaine School Board in 2021. Erika Creydt has three kids who have attended Blaine schools in the past. Creydt said her kids switched to an online schooling program because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Creydt is a psychologist and clinical director of TouchStone Health Clinic in downtown Blaine.
