I am strongly opposed to a state income tax for working families

As people lose trust in government, rogue state leaders (i.e., WA Senate Majority Leader, Attorney General) have colluded to violate our state constitution to impose a 9.9% state income tax on everyone.

It was never about 'just taxing millionaires.' Public records obtained by The Center Square Washington show this and a state income tax is unconstitutional (see attached article).

WA State Majority Leader Jamie Pedersen stated, “I would like to force the Washington Supreme Court to reconsider its caselaw that considers income to be property.”

This is the same person who endorsed one of our opponents here in the 42nd District.

Think about what that means.

If your income is not your property, then does it belong to the state? What other rights would the state have over our Earnings?

Can you afford 9.9% more of your income evaporating? Will this make your life more affordable?

WA voters have rejected an income tax 11 times (including the 42nd Legislative District); our courts ruled a state income tax unconstitutional for nearly 100 years, and Initiative 2111 from 2024 further cemented it.

I resent this unconstitutional manipulation and effort to raise our already high cost of living.

Regular Democrats, Independents, and Republicans are fired up about this.

We need a State Senator who will stand up for our state constitution and for us.
