“Quite simply, taxes, labor costs, excessive regulatory obligations, and state-based inflationary pressures are making it too expensive and too difficult for many small

businesses to add or even maintain jobs. Many sadly cannot continue doing business in Washington state and are looking for opportunities elsewhere,” NFIB Washington .

This is unacceptable. We are struggling through an affordability problem and housing crisis. We need living-wage jobs to strengthen our economy to help solve these issues, but Washington’s current culture is hostile and pushing businesses out of the state/forcing them to close their doors. This is bad for everyone. It’s time for a more balanced approach. I’m grateful for NFIB’s endorsement and I will be an action-oriented leader advocating for pro-business policies.

It’s not business or the environment. That’s old school thinking. It’s business and the environment.
